Port Everglades - Fort Lauderdale

Located on Florida’s southeastern coast just a few miles from downtown Fort Lauderdale, Port Everglades is one of the world’s busiest cruise homeports, handling roughly 4.4 million cruise guests each year.

The port stretches across Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Dania Beach, and features eight modern, fully accessible cruise terminals spread across its Northport, Midport, and Southport areas.

The cruise terminals offer a range of amenities:

Air-conditioned, fully accessible terminals

Restrooms inside and outside each terminal

Snack and beverage vending machines
Elevators, crosswalks, and designated disabled parking

How to Reach Port Everglades

Port Everglades is conveniently located in the heart of Broward County and is easily accessible by car, taxi, bus, and train. The port is also right next to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

The port has three entrances, each with a security checkpoint:

SE 17th St., at Eisenhower Blvd. (Northport – Terminals 1, 2, 4)
State Road 84, at Spangler Blvd. just east of U.S. 1 (Midport – Terminals 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 29)
I-595 East, at Eller Dr. (Southport)

At each checkpoint, all guests and visitors aged 18 and over must present a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) and their cruise documents.

Getting to the port:

By air: Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is just minutes away via U.S. 1 and served by most major airlines. Miami International Airport is about 30–45 minutes south via I-95.
By taxi or ride-share
By bus: Broward County Transit stops at the Northport section on SE 17th St., just north of the Convention Center.
By rental car: The Rental Car Center at FLL houses most major companies in one location; There are also car rental firms licensed to do business at Port Everglades
